Craig Newmark Joins Blue Button Challenge Judges
The Blue Button Challenge
added a new judge, Craig Newmark of Craigslist, to a distinguished
panel of judges. The panel of judges for the Blue Button Challenge
will include:
- Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist.org
- Steve Downs, SM, Assistant Vice President, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
- Steve Findlay, MPH, Senior Health Policy Analyst, Consumers Union
- James Ralston, MD, MPH, Associate Investigator, Group Health Research Institute
The Blue Button Challenge, sponsored by the Markle Foundation and
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, calls for web applications developers
to demonstrate how they can help people manage their health by making
use of data from Medicare of the Veterans Administration.
There are 9 teams, and counting, competing for the prize of $2,500 and Coffee with Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody and Cognitive Surplus. The winner will be announced at the Health 2.0 Conference on Oct. 7-8 in San Francisco.
